In a town where one’s baseball team of choice is worn as a badge of honor, there is rarely an occasion where fans will show love to the “other” team. But even the most ardent Cubs’ fan would have to tip their backwards baseball cap to the White Sox on this one.
Today, the Chicago White Sox visited Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the 18th floor, where they dedicated the White Sox Play Area. The players, Alex Rios and Hector Santiago, along with manager, Robin Ventura and the ever-present mascot SouthPaw, also spent time meeting and playing with patients in the Family Life Center.
